Pray For Orlando
The LGBT community has made massive strides in the past several years, with love winning above all in countless efforts for equality. The tragic events at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida remind us that we need to put love above all else and be there in support for humans on a human level, not just when tragic events occur but each and every day. #PrayForOrlando
What we currently know from the events of Sunday June 12, 2016 is that 49 lives have been lost, and 53 others were injured. The names of the victims are being publicized to gain knowledge about each and every life. The shooter details, including the name, are not being discussed on news outlets. The support from the LGBT community has been expressed nationwide, and in tremendous effort to shed light on this event and what can be done in support but also what can be done on an ongoing basis to keep events like this from happening. It goes without saying that thousands of others in the community have shown the same love and respect for the victims and their loved ones, as well as supporting the Go Fund Me account for the victim’s families and creating a general awareness of the change that needs to take place in society.
