Employee Spotlight: Arika, Senior Case Manager
2020 marks Arika’s 15th year with FSC, and through it all, she continues to feel both joy or sorrow with each and every case: “I never get tired of hearing that a pregnancy is confirmed, I get giddy for everyone. The flipside to that is that when a transfer doesn’t take, or pregnancy is lost, my heart breaks. It’s empathy at its finest I suppose!”
Get to Know Arika, Senior Case Manager
Arika has recently taken on the role of caregiver for her mother, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at the age of 64. She and her husband are also raising an active 7-year-old, who is heavily involved in the martial art of Taekwondo. Despite staying busy, they continue to make family time a priority, often taking their son out to enjoy the West Marin and West Sonoma County coastlines, the spectacular museums (Academy of Sciences is a current favorite!) the area has to offer, various live-shows (with podcasts and comedy as their preferences), and dinner at the table as a family every night. When time permits, Arika enjoys curling up with a book, attending Paint Nite events with friends, and she always looks forward to her annual attendance of Country Summer to celebrate her birthday.
Having been through two destructive wildfires in the last three years in Sonoma County, Arika wishes to extend her deepest thanks and appreciation for all first responders — whether they serve near or far, they are absolute heroes in her book.
FSC’s CEO says, “It has been amazing to have Arika with us for the last 15 years. She brings such heart to the position and truly cares for our intended parents, surrogates and egg donors. Arika’s quick wit and openness put everyone at ease. Couple that with her being a champion of organization, everyone just knows that their cycles are under control.”
