Why Professional Support Matters
In my last post I linked to the Living “The New Normal” community group and discussed the importance of these informal support networks. However, these informal support networks are just one piece of the family building through assisted conception puzzle.
Richard B Vaughn, Esquire of International Fertility Law Group recently wrote two important blog posts highlighting this point. In one he discusses the implications of California’s new surrogacy bill AB1217 and in another he highlights just one of the many complications that can arise from informal surrogacy agreements.
A lot of growing a family is done in the heart, but enlisting professional help can do worlds in saving all those involved from a lot of avoidable heartache. If you’re considering growing your family through egg donation and/or surrogacy spend some time thinking about the pros/cons of seeking out professional help in mitigating these often complicated waters.
