A virtual meeting may be arranged with IPs once your information is entered into the database. After the match, there are several additional steps included in the surrogate process, such as:
- A complete physical examination
- Meeting with a legal advisor before signing the surrogacy agreement
- Taking a series of hormonal medications to prepare your body for pregnancy
- Undergoing the embryo transfer procedure
- Taking pregnancy blood tests and an ultrasound to confirm pregnancy
- Participating in regular visits with your OB/GYN provider during pregnancy and delivery of the baby
